• Charts contain the following:

    1. Picture of the piece.

    2. Key of thread colors used, along with the number stitches, catalog number, and estimated number of skeins required.

    3. Multiple pages of symbols representing the pattern to be stitched.

    4. An overview including the type of canvas, mesh count (10/inch, 12 /inch, etc.), chart size dimensions in stitches, finished dimensions in inches or mm, and recommended canvas size.

    5. A map of how the pages fit together

We highly suggest that you order and download our free chart BW Squares. That will give you an idea of what gets delivered in a chart.

  • Please note that at this time we are selling charts only, no canvas or threads are included. If you are interested in kits use our Contact page to let us know.

  • The skein recommendations in the chart assume the tent stitch half cross style. Be aware that thread requirements vary widely based on your stitching habits. Also, using continental or basketweave use considerably more thread then half cross.

  • We’d love feedback via our Contact page or needlepointdads@gmail.com regarding the following:

Pricing — We want to get it right, so if there is a chart that you think is overpriced let us know what you think it is worth. If enough folks chime in we’ll take that feedback into consideration.

Mesh Count/Thread vendor — Our black and white charts are 10 mesh using DMC tapestry wool, and everything else is 12 or 13 mesh using DMC Pearl Cotton. Are those factors preventing you from ordering? Let us know and we’ll consider providing a chart for your preferred mesh count and yarn type/size for no additional charge. The pattern we provide can be used for any mesh count, the only difference is that the finished size will be smaller for higher numbered mesh counts, and might require a different size DMC yarn, or less thread. Does the choice of DMC prevent you from getting a chart? Which vendors do you prefer?

Kits — We are entertaining the possiblity of selling kits including canvas and thread. We would do this by drop shipping those items to you through a 3rd party needlepoint supplier. Does that work?

Custom Charts — Would you be interested in a service to provide custom charts from digital photos with your choice of thread vendor, size, etc.?
